Hello and welcome. For those of you stumbling across my page for the first time, I'm Belinda - an automotive enthusiast and expert. As you'll see and learn, I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to cars, and - quite frankly - the whole automotive industry in general.

I'm really excited to bring you a range of content, from car reviews to building careers in the automotive space. As a female in the industry, it's more important than ever to celebrate all the exceptional talent our sector holds, whilst encouraging the next generation of enthusiasts to consider a career in the space.

Who is Belinda Automotive?

Hold onto your hats, I'm Belinda, the creator of Belinda Automotive. It doesn't take a genius to see that the name comes after my first name and my love of cars and the industry. However despite my simple and easy-to-remember name, my content is meaningful, thoughtful and authentic.

Why was Belinda Automotive created?

If you asked me 10 years ago what I thought I'd be doing with my life, my answer would not have been creating automotive content and building a career in the industry. In fact, I was gearing up to start teaching English at Secondary School level. I know, quite the career change.

Belinda Automotive was born for several reasons:

To prove to myself that I could - I know I have a powerful voice and I have been creating content for almost eight years. It's been a huge part of my day job and has always received significant praise. I'm considered an expert in my field, so why not share the knowledge?
To inspire others to join the industry - the reason I thought a career in automotive wasn't on my cards was actually due to some internalised misogyny. I always believed women had more caring and nurturing roles, so it never occurred to me that I could do something else. And, let me tell you, I am thriving!
To highlight the importance of different perspectives - the automotive industry is filled with exceptional talent, but it's not hugely diverse. Being a louder voice that represents a different perspective is important. After all, anyone over the age of 17 can drive in the UK, as long as they have the right documentation, insurance and medical clearance, so the market is huge, and voices need to be heard.

From car reviews to important information to general tomfoolery, @belinda_automotive is designed to bring thoughtful and authentic content that's accessible to everyone.

Everything I create is made using my phone, personality and perspective. I try to keep it as real as I can. You'll also see my black Labrador, Pommy, featured in a few posts, which help me to keep my content light-hearted and fun.
